To Whom It May Concern:

I write this letter of recommendation for Adam Turner with full confidence that he is well-prepared and knowledgeable in Television/Movie production for scripted programming. Adam is a student of mine at Tennessee State University and has been outstanding in several of my courses. I am most impressed with his focus and commitment to whatever project or assignment he is given. He is very dependable, responsible and creative. One example of his commitment to quality work comes from the Producing Digital Media course that I taught Spring 2016. The students were required to pitch a television series, web series or film. Adam pitched a comedy idea about a young white man attending a predominately black school, an HBCU, in the south. The show takes the audience through the main characters amusing experiences learning and understanding a culture very different from his own. The other students in the class loved his pitch and the faculty evaluators encouraged him to move forward with the idea by writing scripts. With several students on board, Adam is working diligently this Fall 2016 semester to produce several webisodes of his series.

The other attributes of Adam that are worth noting are his qualities as a human being. Adam is very easy to be around, thoughtful, funny and smart. His peers respect and like him and he is often a part of several student projects, giving his time to see that they too succeed. He doesn’t hesitate to share information and encourage other students when they need it. He has a good sense of story and contributes to script feedback in a useful and important way. He is also a strong addition to a production crew, jumping in and doing what is needed.

Adam deserves an internship where he can grow in this competitive industry but also contribute to the overall good of the individuals he is working with. You would have no regret in giving him an internship in scripted programing at any production company.
